Brandon and Meredith Ellison have come a long way in a short time at National Agents Alliance. Although they were both born and raised in Alabama, the couple was first introduced to each other by friends while attending college at the University of Alabama, where Brandon graduated with a degree in Accounting and Meredith with degrees in Psychology and Human Development.
After college, the duo decided to move to Colorado. They both worked numerous jobs, including waiting on tables and laying tile. Brandon made extra money at night playing guitar in local bars, but neither was able to make a substantial income. After a year, they decided they did not have a future in the Colorado Rockies. Brandon wanted to relocate somewhere close to the mountains and Meredith wanted to be back in the south, so Asheville, North Carolina made sense to them both.
Brandon and Meredith moved to Asheville in October 2001. Meredith found a job at a preschool and Brandon started waiting tables. The couple was still struggling financially, so Brandon decided to explore the insurance field. After a brief stint with AFLAC, he took a position with Cornerstone of America selling health insurance. He worked with Cornerstone until he discovered NAA at the end of 2002. While he started selling life insurance, Meredith returned to school and completed her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling at Western Carolina University. In 2004, she began working with Brandon and they began building their agency.
