NAA Named “Fastest Growing Company” By Business Publication

         National Agents Alliance was named the Piedmont-Triad’s fastest growing company Thursday, Sept. 27, by The Triad Business Journal. The Business Journal annually ranks more than 35,000 Triad businesses and releases its Top 50 each September.

         NAA topped this year’s list.

         The Business Journal’s FAST 50 Awards Program is the premiere business-growth competition in the area. This year’s ninth annual FAST 50 Awards Ceremony honored the successes of private businesses and their owners. The growth and the contribution of these 50 dynamic has a strong impact on the North Carolina’s current and future economic success.

         "When we started publishing the Business Journal, we wanted the triad to have something to be excited about, regarding private business and growth. We then came up with the contest for companies to compete, based on their numbers. With growth comes opportunity. In the last 3 years, the top 50 have gone from generated sales of 1.4 billion to 2.1 billion, such a huge increase. This contest is designed to show that there is a lot of good in the triad, since these businesses will propel the growth to sustain us for the next decades." said publisher, Kevin Bumgarner of the Business Journal.

         The companies on the Fast 50 list undergo an auditing process to certify that they are indeed among the fastest growing companies in the Triad. In partnership with The Business Journal, Smith Leonard, one of the area’s largest accounting firms, oversees this process.

         In a special section dated Sept. 28, The Business Journal provided an exclusive ranking and profile of each of the 50 fastest growing privately held companies.

         Andy Albright, NAA’s President and CEO, accepted the award as the Triad’s fastest growing company during a ceremony in Greensboro last week. After receiving the award Thursday night, Albright boarded a private aircraft to travel to Atlanta for NAA’s annual Leadership Conference.

         NAA employs approximately 140 people in its corporate headquarters on Turrentine Street, in Burlington, NC.
